    Dear anon,

I was about…four years old when I washed up on the beach? Yeah, I’m not really sure how I ended up there, to be honest…

Thankfully, Sora and Riku found me that day while they were playing on the island. Some adults got involved, and eventually the mayor took me in. Sora and Riku came to visit again soon after that, and well, we’ve been together ever since.

    Dear the-bond-of-flame,

The Bond of Flame? What does that have to do with me? And uh, I guess I went through a growth spurt—thank you, I suppose.

She’s naming her puppy after me?! That’s awesome! I’ve never inspired anyone to name a puppy after me before.

They’ve already BOTH taught me a lot—they helped me get used to the Keyblade by sparring with me in their spare time before the Mark of Mastery Exam. I really don’t think I could choose between them.

  3.

    Dear nuzie,

Well, it’s kind of like handling a sword, and even though they were just made of wood, we’ve had plenty of practice handling those! Though I guess when we were younger sometimes we got a little clumsy with them and—as you said—ended up smacking ourselves in the face.

‘Ourselves’? Speak for yourself Sora. If I ever got smacked in the face, it was because you weren’t being careful.

Yeah, those play-fights were certainly a good way to prepare us for Keyblades, but it’s not amateur hour anymore! You guys may have more experience fighting with them, but I’ll definitely catch up in no time, just you wait!

Aren’t you forgetting someone Kairi? Don’t count me out either! How about you and me bet on who can master the Keyblade first?

  4.

    Dear seasaltroxas,

Oh, I don’t think Sora or Riku would ever try to invade my privacy like that.

Besides, there’s nothing that I’d put in a diary that I wouldn’t tell the guys—I don’t really keep anything secret from them.

    -Kairi

  5.

    Dear Saki,

School was…well, school. I got by with Selphie and the others.

And Tidus and Wakka are still around—they’re doing pretty well, even with soccer practice to worry about.

    -Kairi

    Dear anon,

I’m not sure how that would have worked with me being one of the princesses of heart involved in Xehanort’s plan. It definitely would have made things more complicated.

And Xehanort wouldn’t have had a reason to kidnap me. I’m not a princess of heart and if Kairi and my roles had been switched, I wouldn’t have even had the keyblade. I probably would have been lost to the darkness with the rest of Destiny Islands…

And I’m not sure if I could have been as brave as you were back then, Sora. I don’t know what I would have done.

Aw, come on. You’re more brave than Riku and I put together. You always have been.

Suffice it to say anon, I think we’re both glad things turned out the way they did.

    -Sora and Kairi

  7.

    Dear anon,

Are you kidding me?! I’d get out!!!

Yeaaaaaah, staying in the room with creepy things crawling over the walls: not a good idea.

Why did she even stay in the room for as long as she did??

    Dear anon,

I don’t want to watch these!!

Aww, it’s okay Sora, it’s just a bunch of people acting.

    …It’s still kind of creepy…

    Dear megawallflower,

Awesome! Can we have all your candy?

Sora, you can’t take all of their candy.

    Why not? They offered.

Do you have strawberry flavored? That’s my favorite.

    Uhh, yeah! Mine too!

    Hey, don’t hog it all…

    -Sora, Kairi, and Riku

  10.

    Dear megawallflower,

Oh man, that really takes me back!

That was the first year we all went trick or treating together.

I remember that night made me really happy. I had just washed up on the beach earlier that year and that night was one of the first times I really felt at home.

If you think about it, it was kind of one of the first big things we did as a group of best friends.

    Man, that Pikachu costume, though.

Hey! It rocked and you know it!

Hehe. It was a good night.

    Dear anon,

    That game is creepy.

You were the one who was hiding under the blanket the whole time we played it, Sora.

Hey! It was a scary game!

Uh, if I recall, Riku, who was the one who was hiding under the blanket with him? Because it wasn’t me.

….You heard him. It was a freaky game.

Haha. You two can be such wimps.

    -Sora, Riku, and Kairi

  12.

    Dear kid,

Of course you can have one! I’ve picked this one special, just for you!

    -Kairi

  13.

    Dear Nenilein,

Let’s see now…well, I did have some wooden soldiers I used to love playing with as a kid. I think that’d work. Oh! And Kairi would be a doll of some sort. Maybe.

Fighting as toys? That’s just silly. How on earth am I supposed to take this question seriously?

    ….I’m imagining a silver teddy-bear…

    Yeah! That’s perfect for Riku!

What?! No, wait, let me think of a better—

Too late! You’re a teddy bear.

    -Sora, Kairi, and Riku

  14.

    Dear anon,

We live on an island—of course we do!

Everybody here loves swimming! Especially Tidus and Wakka!

Those guys are the fastest swimmers on the island! They even invented this game that they play in the water sometimes with the blitzball!

    -Sora, Kairi, and Riku

  15.

    Dear anon,

    Who says I need either?

But I see what you mean. Let’s just say that the person I love will always have my unconditional love. I’ll always love them for who they are, and because they have a good heart.

    -Kairi
